Here is my project to share. As soon as I saw the Flowering Fields stamp set I had the idea of a little ‘Gardener’s Gift’ of flower seeds and a pretty card – the recipient can enjoy the card as soon they receive the gift, and then in a few months time enjoy their own Flowering Field:
The seed pouch is simply a vellum envelope made using the Envelope Punch Board and embossed with White Embossing Powder (Hint: don’t forget to use your embossing buddy so you eliminate all those stray specks of powder – I had mine sitting right next to me and still forgot to use it!). I added a belly band with similar embellishments as the card to tie the gift together.
Once again I used vellum and white heat embossing on the card and then coloured the flowers using my Stampin’ Write Markers. I coloured in the flowers on the front of the vellum and then added more strokes of colour on the back of the vellum for a deeper colour and also to ‘spread’ the look of the flowers a little. It’s a little hard to tell in the photos, but I also stamped one of the images repeatedly on the Soft Sky cardstock behind my vellum and added some Wink of Stella to the flowers – oh man I LOVE those Wink of Stella pens!
Thank you so much for joining me today – please make sure that you don’t miss one of these amazing blogs as you hop around. Next up is the talented and lovely Jennifer Pauli
who I had the great pleasure to meet in Salt Lake City a few years ago! Jennifer’s projects are incredible so be sure to check them out. And here is the full list of clever creatives behind today’s hop:
