It’s a long weekend here in NZ to mark the Queen’s birthday – always nice to have an extra day to sleep in, and the added bonus of no sports or activities for the girls either! At Onstage earlier in the year every attendee was lucky enough to receive the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set, and I’ll be honest, when I first saw it I thought ‘what will I ever use this for..?’ But then I got it home and started playing with it and fell in love with this big bird! Here is just one of the cards I have created with it so far – there are several more to come!
The flamingo was stamped with Powder Pink & then Flirty Flamingo (of course!) before adding the detailed image over the top with good old Basic Black! The greenery was stamped on vellum using Old Olive and then just left for a few hours to dry properly. This is a really simple card but the colour combo and striking images make it look really wow!
