I was a little bit stumped to start with on this combo so I grabbed a piece of each colour cardstock out and then popped them on my desk with a full sheet of Whisper White – all of that white really helped me see the colours better and toned them down just a little. After that I knew the card would feature lots of white and be kept pretty simple to allow the colours to do all the talking.
The balloons on my card are sponged using a mask created with the Balloon punch – I did a mixture of rubbing and dabbing with my stampin sponges to give the slightly mottled effect. For just a little hint of detail I then stamped over a few of the balloons with the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.
To create the 3 dimensional die cut I first backed my cardstock with Multi-Purpose Adhesive Sheet, before cutting the die 3 times. Then it was really easy to just adhere each layer together giving a thick dimensional die-cut.
