Colour Your World October Blog Hop!

Colour Your World Header
It’s my favourite time of the month –  Colour Your World Blog Hop time!  I really enjoy the challenge these colour palettes offer – sometimes they are easy to work with and other times they really are a challenge, but it’s always good to be pushed out of your comfort zone a little! Did you know that you can join in with each months challenge?  Simply create a project using the months colours and then share you project with us all on the Facebook Group. Here is this months inspiration piece

A gorgeous Gothic window and climbing rose – in a little bit of serendipity I just happened to be studying Gothic Architecture at the time this inspiration piece was posted! I used not just the colours but also the elements in the image to inspire my project.  I couldn’t quite create a stained glass window so substituted our great Stitched Shapes oval instead.

I didn’t have quite the right colour ribbon I wanted for the bow, but that is where the metallics come in so handy – they go with anything! Here I have used the 1/4″ Copper Trim which I love as I can manipulate it to sit just how I want.  The flowers were coloured using Stampin’ Write markers and layering the colour to get some shading. Fussy cutting the flower image took a while but I love how pretty it looks!

Did you know YOU can now join in our colour challenge each month?  Head over and check out our Colour Your World Challenge Group here, and then get creating – we would love to see what you create with this months scheme!

Well that’s it for me this month – be sure to hop around the world and check out all of the other great projects to inspire your crafting.  You can start with the lovely Sam Hammond in the UK.
