Miss almost 11 has been slightly obsessed with a series of books featuring clans of cats (Warrior Cats by Erin Hunter) for the last 12 months, so when it came time to decide on invitations for her birthday there was really no need to ask what she would like to feature! As soon as she saw the cat punch in the catalogue she started talking about it and how cool it was so although it wasn’t originally on my list to purchase I made an exception on this one.
I love how elegant this design turned out – I was inspired by the books website header for the colour and moon idea. The cat was achieved by first cutting the white circle using my Circles Collection Framelit Dies and then punching the cat out of the bottom of the circle using the Cat Punch. This method gave a better silhouette effect than simply adhering a cat punch on top of the circle – I think it adds better dimension and a nice shadow which is really effective. A touch of Wink of Stella on the moon finished it off with a nice bit of shimmer!
